About the Band
Over the Edge is a four-piece rock band playing all over the Tampa Bay area. The group focuses on classic rock, with an emphasis on vocals and harmony. Each performance includes covers of America, The Beatles, Journey, REO Speedwagon, Santana, Styx, and The Who to name a few. Founding members Warren E. Bown (vocals/bass) and Dan Mockensturm (vocals/guitar) were joined in 2018 by Paul Betz (vocals/drums) and 2020 by Richard Grimolizzi (vocals/piano/organ/keyboards).
The Musicians
Warren E. Bown
Bass/Vocals
Original member of Over the Edge since 2009. This band was Warren’s idea and musical baby. He had been wanting to put a full band together since his first band Cimaron. He contacted a few musicians, held auditions and finally found all the right pieces.
Dan Mockensturm
Guitar/Vocals
Original member of Over the Edge since 2009. Very active on the local music scene having been in a number of local bands and playing in many of the local clubs and party venues. Friend with many of the local musicians and music fans.
Richard Grimolizzi
Keyboards/Vocals
One of the main ingredients is this style of band is the keyboards. Over the Edge went through a few players until we found the person with the right attitude, sounds and playing abilities. The keyboards are essential to our sound.
Paul Betz
Drums/Vocals
Paul is a rare find and perfect for this band – a lead singer with great vocal range that can play drums. He has a keen musical sense and really adds to the vocal abilities of this bands’ sound.
